Thursday 7th May
Award-winning musician Mairi Campbell presents Pulse, her first one-woman theatre show, co-devised and directed by Kath Burlinson. It is the story of Mairi’s musical homecoming, a love story with a universal message about seeking your true identity.
Pulse is deeply touching, funny and potent; it weaves scintillating live viola and voice with animation and story-telling in a grounded and compelling performance.
Benedict Morris Trio. friday 8th May
In January 2019, Benedict was named BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year as part of Celtic Connections. Since winning, he has founded his trio along with fellow BBC award winners Ryan Murphy and Pablo Lafuente.
Their music is stemmed from their upbringing in Irish traditional music using a mixture of traditional tunes as well as their own and produce instrumental music steeped in emotion, drive and vivacity.

Vibrant six-piece HEISK are a powerful new all female force on the folk scene. Their relentlessly energetic music stems from their roots in Scottish traditional music and combines it with punchy riffs and grooves.

Salt House is Jenny Sturgeon, Ewan MacPherson and Lauren MacColl. Their album Undersong has been praised by folk bible fRoots for bringing “startling freshness” to the British song tradition.
Songs are central to Salt House. New songs that sound as if they’ve always been here. Ancient ballads woken up. Poems given the tunes they’ve long deserved. Songs about place, politics, landscape and birds.
Furrow collective.

The Furrow Collective is an award-winning and critically acclaimed English/Scottish band.
The group formed in 2013, drawn together by a shared love of traditional song and balladry of England, Scotland and beyond and an open, intuitive approach to collaboration. In recognition of their innovative approach they won the ‘Best Band’ award in the 2017 BBC Radio Two Folk Awards.
